Our Kobe store staff member Kawazoe interviewed Mr. T, who participates in our monthly workshops. This time, we visited his newly built, lovely home.
When we arrived at the house, the whole family warmly welcomed us. They picked flowers from the plants at the entrance to put in a vase. How lovely!!

My encounter with Nakayoshi Library
We met Mr. T at an event. He took a liking to our Nakayoshi Library products through the experience of making wooden toys and playing in the wood-based kids' space.
Since last year, we have started rental business and workshop activities, and we have had more opportunities to let more customers know about Nakayoshi Library. Mr. T is an important customer who can be said to be the first participant of the workshop activities.
When we met, Mr. T was just about to build a new house. We also made a dining table and chest for Nakayoshi Library for his new home.

The moment you enter the room, you feel at ease. Mr. T, who loves wood, carefully selected the flooring and sofa. The dining table placed in the center of the room blends in perfectly with the stylish room. The hinoki wood furniture has a gentle grain and color, so it doesn't stand out too much, but it still has a certain presence.
Wooden products seem more lively after they arrive at the customer's house than when they are brand new. It's as if the customer's atmosphere is transmitted directly from the furniture. (Really!) This dining table will be a place where Mr. T and his family, full of smiles, will spend wonderful times together. I can imagine that it will surely change to a gentle and tasteful color.

When we asked him why he chose Nakayoshi Library products for his new home, he told us, "You can tell from the feel of the product that it is good and made with great care. The corners are rounded and safe, so you can use it with peace of mind." We are very grateful and pleased that he can feel the maker's passion from the product in this way.

Nakayoshi Library's strength is that it can make products to order from scratch. Our craftsmen will turn your "I wish I had this." This height chart was also made at Mr. T's request. The simple and stylish design will naturally be kept by your child even after they become an adult.
Looking at the height mark, I can see that he has already grown about 5cm in just 2 months! Children grow so fast! Before you know it, this height chart might not be big enough for him... By marking his growth each time, parents and children can feel his growth firsthand.
Build connections with people! Workshops

Mr. T has attended every workshop with his family since the first one. He doesn't just buy and use products, but also enjoys the fun of making things with his own hands and the joy of using his ingenuity to create original items.
The children are doing the easy parts of the workshop. The difficult parts are done by the dads. They polish the pieces carefully and the end result is beautiful every time. The children will remember seeing adults working so seriously.

We hope that our workshops, which are part of our wood education activities, will provide an opportunity to experience the joy of craftsmanship and to learn more about wood. We value these activities, which are not just about making and selling products, and we hope that many customers will participate.
This time, Mr. T said, "I'm happy that the monthly workshops are also a place to interact with friends." This interview made me realize that in this world, the workshops can go beyond the framework of wood education and serve as a place for communication. For us, they are also a valuable place where we can directly connect with our customers.
Learn the background of the products! Factory tour
They also participated in a tour of a toy factory in Kagawa. Normally, they can only see the finished products, but the factory tour gave them a chance to understand the labor and attention to detail that goes into making the toys.
Experience making chopsticks with the staff of Nakayoshi Library. Even though they are small, the experience of handling real tools and wood is sure to be something they will never forget even when they become adults!
