Q: What year did you join the company and why?
I joined the company in 2011. I was originally interested in woodworking and furniture making, and the reason I joined the company was that I wanted to be involved in making safe and secure products that could be used for a long time, especially through products for children. I was also strongly attracted to the fact that the company makes products using local materials and techniques.
Q: What do you do for a living?
I am currently in charge of design. Specifically, I come up with designs and specifications for new products, and design and engineer furniture and play equipment for nurseries and kindergartens. My job involves deciding product specifications based on customer requests, taking into consideration ease of use, safety, and the characteristics of materials. I also handle special custom-made projects, creating drawings and adjusting prototypes.
Q: What do you find rewarding?
When I see the product I designed completed and children enjoying using it. I feel a great sense of accomplishment especially when I hear from nursery teachers and parents that it is easy to use and that the children enjoy it. I feel very happy when I realize that my work is useful to someone. I also feel a sense of accomplishment in the process of creating things.
Q: Message to those considering joining the company
Our work is not just about making products, but also plays an important role in supporting children's growth and learning. For those who are interested in manufacturing that utilizes the warmth of wood and natural materials, and those who want to "do something for the community," I think this is a very rewarding workplace. Let's make wonderful products together and increase the number of children's smiles.
