Q: What year did you join the company and why?
I joined the company in 2020.
The reason is that I love woodworking and wanted to work with people who shared the same aspirations.
Before joining Nakayoshi Library, I worked as a local revitalization volunteer in Umaji Village, located in the mountains of Kochi Prefecture, trying to enliven the local area through woodworking, but I came across this company when I felt the limitations of my individual abilities. I feel that I am now in a good environment where I can work hard together with my colleagues.
Q: What do you do for a living?
Currently, we are preparing to start making furniture at our Mitoyo factory and are sawing and processing wood.
Q: What do you find rewarding?
It's rewarding to see wood passing through cross saws, rip saws, hand planes, planers, NC routers and many other machines and people's hands to become the materials for furniture and toys, and then assembling them into products. And more than anything, it's a lot of fun to try new things and gain new processing methods and knowledge.
Q: Message to those considering joining the company
Enjoy the difficulties!
Nakayoshi Library has big goals and will continue to make great strides from now on. I'm sure each of us has our own dreams and goals. To achieve them, it's not all fun and games, but there are also many difficulties. That's why I hope we can achieve them while having fun. Let's work hard together!
