Good evening. Another year has flown by. There are only two more days until the end of work at Nakayoshi Library. Everyone, there's not much left of the year. Please bear with me for a little longer and read my blog posts.
Delivering products made from local materials to Mannou Town

As December approaches, we will be making more deliveries by our own company. We had been planning to deliver playground equipment to Kotonami Miraikan in Mannou Town, Kagawa Prefecture since last year. After Kotonami Junior High School was closed due to consolidation, the building has been used as the Kotonami Regional Revitalization Center, where local parents and children can play freely.

Kotonan Junior High School.

Using materials from Kagawa Prefecture, Nakayoshi Library has created a product that is a little different from the playground equipment they usually make. First of all, this assembled mini house*

The entire surface is an activity board where you can play.

When you open the window, animals will appear. You can enjoy role play and puppet shows. *After all, a home needs windows.

The main playground equipment is this slide.

To prevent any danger, all corners are rounded and the cypress wood is polished to a smooth surface. It's quite slippery. The theme was to make a safe playground equipment that about 4 to 5 children can play with together. That's why I tried to be creative this time. If it proves popular, I might try making a ready-made product.

And a round table with building blocks. The lid closes securely.
Here is the content of the store play
And the best thing this time is the store play content. You can play in many stores, including a sushi shop, bakery, burger shop, and cake shop.

Isn't this amount amazing? It took a toy craftsman about a week to make it. Even those of us who usually work with woodworking are fascinated by the finish and the intricacy of the work. We would like to introduce some of these works.

I'm sure children will be happy to see so many food stores. It will be fun to play house. I hope that this store play set will become available to customers all over the country.

The playground equipment and toys for the Kotonami Miraikan in Mannou Town were made by the craftsmen at the furniture factory and the toy factory, who each put their skills and ideas to the best of their ability.

With Chie's ingenuity, we were able to create new designs for wooden products, which were then delivered to children, who put them to good use. I thought this was a rewarding job.
The more you use wooden products, the more lustrous they become. If they break, we will repair them and continue repairing them so that they can be used again. We hope that they will be used by many people in the local area for a long time to come.

Thank you to everyone in Mannou Town who placed their orders, and to all the craftsmen who worked on making them.
Well, there are only a few days left in the year. I'll be introducing the end of year deliveries tomorrow. But it's really cold today. I'd like to eat some hot pot. See you next time.
