From Kobe store

Happy New Year!

The year 2022 has begun!

All of our staff will do their best to be full of energy and smiles so that this year will be a fun one too.

The Kobe store will open from 11:00 on January 6th. We will be giving away a cute tiger figurine (palm-sized) to 80 customers who purchase at the store.

Fuji-chan, who had been working hard as a staff member at the Nakayoshi Library Kobe branch, retired in December.

Fuji-chan is a reliable and kind person. When she decided to resign, I was shocked and thought I would end up homeless (;_;)

But, this is the happy path that my beloved Fuji-chan has chosen. I will support her with all my might!!

Fuji-chan's Memoirs

Fuji-chan has been working at our Kobe store since she was a part-time student at university.

Even though we weren't even looking for part-time workers, she came to us and said, "I want to work here!" (laughs)

There are all kinds of people in the world. There are people who are good at their jobs, people who are good at talking, people who have quick minds, people who are proactive.

Everyone is wonderful, but I think the most important thing is whether or not you have this kind of passion.

Needless to say, she was a very active member of the team for the past year and a half. Fuji-chan has many hobbies, including drawing, photography, and playing the guitar, and all of these hobbies have led to work.

[ The illustrations in the Mokuiku Kamishibai are Fuji-chan's masterpiece ]

At the monthly workshops, participants listen to wooden Kamishibai (picture storytelling). Using her drawing skills, Fuji-chan always draws cute pictures while thinking about how to get the children interested. Thanks to Fuji-chan's drawings, the children listen intently to the Kamishibai.

[Instagram photos are as good as any professional's!]

She always took photos for our Instagram and exhibitions. Her photography skills are amazing, but I think it's her love for toys that allows her to capture the warmth of the wood and products in her photos.

[The theme song was performed in the short film at Motomachi Shopping Street!]

He was not only active in the store, but also in the Motomachi shopping district! In the promotional video for the shopping district, he played the theme song on guitar and sang it. He sometimes performed live in the store, entertaining customers.

[For the Kobe store project, I was in charge of designing the zodiac keychains]

Anyway, they draw cute designs. The shapes and colors of each animal are appealing, and the zodiac keychains were very popular with customers!

And Fuji-chan, who is good with computers, handled the administrative tasks perfectly!

I think the ability to create something tangible like this is an incredible strength.

I respect him as a person for the way he steadily and steadily improves his skills in both his work and hobbies.

Fuji-chan always greets me with a warm smile when I open the door to the shop!

I would be so happy if the time you spent at Nakayoshi Library could have some positive effect on your life from now on.

A savior appears to liven up Kobe store

After Fuji-chan graduated, the manager and Ishi-chan were on the verge of losing their way, when suddenly, someone appeared before them...

It was Takayama, also known as Taka-chan.

"I want to work in sales here!" He is a savior with a lot of enthusiasm and passion. He is an amazing person who has been working hard since his internship.

Taka-chan joined the company because he was impressed by the way the craftsmen put their heart and soul into making each item by hand.

We act as an important liaison between the customers we meet at workshops, the companies connected to Nakayoshi Library, and nurseries!

We'll now be getting into our toy cars and driving around the city of Kobe, day and night.

We will continue to work hard in 2022 with our new members, so please continue to support us!
