The dining table at my grandmother's house had four drawers, which were used to store stationery, medicine, daily necessities, and other items we use in our daily lives. I remember being impressed by how convenient they were.

After using it for about 30 years, we had the same dining table made as a new one when we renovated our house.

Drawers on both sides

The dining table is not just for eating, but is used by the whole family, with children studying and mothers writing on it. It is very convenient to be able to store pencils, TV remote controls, and other items on it.

The partition can be replaced

The dividers can be divided vertically and horizontally. Try arranging them at home to make it easier to use depending on what you want to store. The drawers are square, so both are the same size.

Drawers run smoothly on rails

The drawers have convenient sliding rails. They can be pulled out smoothly and have a locking function to prevent them from slipping out. In addition, the handles are shaped and somewhat hard so that small children cannot easily pull them out.

It has a simple design and is sturdy, so you can put some heavy items inside.

The grain of the wood of the drawers flows beautifully horizontally. The wood is cut from the same material, so the finish is very beautiful.

Delivering safe and secure quality

The most important thing about the furniture we make is that it is safe and secure for children. The corners of the tables are carefully polished, even in places that are not visible during normal use, so they feel smooth to the touch.

All corners are rounded, and the underside of the table is polished thoroughly. The surface can be polished to a certain extent with one polishing, but after soaking in natural oil, some fuzziness appears. This is then polished once more to make the surface smooth. Customers who receive the table are very pleased with the smooth surface of the cypress.

We also try to minimize the amount of chemicals used. Generally, the glue used to glue wood together contains trace amounts of chemicals. All of the wood we use is domestically produced (mainly within the prefecture) and is made by joining large pieces of wood, so we don't use as much glue as we do with laminated wood. Although regulations have become stricter and more furniture is made of natural wood with an oil finish, there are still many people who have allergic reactions to inexpensive, easily purchased furniture. We are particular about the materials and finishes of our products to a level that even such people can use them with peace of mind, so of course children with weak immune systems can use them with peace of mind.

Assembly Method

To complete the set, turn the tabletop upside down and secure the legs with the included bolts. It can be assembled by two adults in about 10 minutes.

The assembly instructions are included, so please refer to them when assembling. Also, after about a year of use, the screws will loosen, so please tighten them again.

Ways to enjoy the meal

When your children are small, scratches and dents will appear on the furniture. But you will only be concerned about this at first. As the color gradually changes to amber, you will begin to appreciate the beautiful texture. We hope you will come to feel that the scratches and dents are also memories of family time together.

Hinoki has a light beige color, but gradually changes to reddish brown over time. Chairs do not need to be made of the same wood, and there is no need to match them all. Even within a family, there are individual differences in what chairs are "comfortable to sit on." Even if you match different chairs that suit you, dining will be even more enjoyable.

In the photo above, the chairs are made of beech (front left), oak (front right), and cherry (two chairs in the back), and they all blend in seamlessly. Enjoying different types of wood in the same space is one of the joys of interior design.
