Today's Manufacturing Kochi Factory

今日のものづくり 高知工場

It's been a while since I last updated my blog. I've been busy with production since the beginning of January.

Working in the cold is tough, but this year's winter has been warm!

It's comfortable during the day.

The Happy Car is complete. Seven cars have been made and will be delivered to customers next week. The car was made by Oka-san.

Furniture goes through many processes before it becomes a finished product, but this is the first process. Aoki-san uses a large machine to process the product according to the blueprint. Since the machine that can process with precision was installed, the time spent on simple tasks has been reduced, and polishing and assembly can be done more carefully.

This machine is difficult to use, so I'm learning how to use it every day.

The next job is assembly. It is a painstaking and hard job. The Nakayoshi Library is made of natural wood, which shrinks when exposed to humidity.

Huh? It was perfect yesterday, but it's off today... That happens often.

The person in charge is Muneishi-san. He always works carefully, down to the millimeter.

The assembly is done by two people. Oka-san is the one who has completed many tables. He has experience in toy manufacturing, so he can make anything, even small items.

Nursery lockers are a very busy business this time of year.

Once you have assembled it to a certain extent, this is where the most important part of Nakayoshi's job begins!!

It's a polishing job!

Anyway, I polish it carefully, thinking about the person who will use it. I file it down with a file or an electric file. It's because of this that customers say, "This is a comfortable piece of furniture" (^^♪

The people in charge here are Mr. Shikatori and Mr. Yamamoto.

I always finish it carefully☆

And then the final step of painting = 3

Painting is a job that requires strength and patience. We paint the furniture and lockers that are completed one after the other. We apply the first coat, polish, apply a second coat, and polish again...

By repeating this process, the gloss increases and the finish becomes truly smooth. Because it takes so much time and effort to make, even natural paints have a glossy, pleasant finish.

With the flu going around, it's getting difficult to work with a full team, but we have to get through it somehow. Let's do our best and make it!

There are many lockers waiting to be shipped in the store.

We want to deliver quickly. We procure materials, design, and manufacture by ourselves.

Of course, we will deliver the goods to the end (^^♪

I want to continue making products that both children and adults will enjoy.

I think so☆

And once this busy period is over, we will finally be announcing our in-house developed furniture and toys. So, starting today, I'm going to Nuremberg, Germany to study. It's a whirlwind business trip for 3 nights and 4 days (^^♪
