I've recently been getting requests like this from a local junior high school to give an hour-long talk about woodworking and what it's worth doing. Should I accept the offer, thinking of it as a way to contribute to society? I'm really struggling with this. To begin with, I'm not very good at speaking in front of people, but if I was good at it, I'd say "Yes, I'd be happy to!" But I tell myself that I need to get some experience, so I say "I'd be happy to!" without hesitation. Then I'm overcome with anxiety lol
Delivery to the center of the Oyako Flat Square in Chuo Ward, Kobe City

Well, at the end of last month, we delivered to the 3rd floor Oyako Flat Square Central in Chuo Ward, Kobe City. As the Chuo Ward Office is relocating to a new location, they are looking for private contractors.

The Daiji Welfare Association, which we are grateful to for their continued support, has been entrusted with managing the library, and we were able to make the furniture, play equipment, benches, etc.

Local materials and Kobe design

This time, we used wood from Mount Rokko in Kobe for the reception counter. All other materials are mainly Japanese cypress and cedar.

The concept of this place, Oyako Flat Hiroba Chuo, is based on the image of the sea and mountains of Kobe.
The playground equipment, toys, and furniture are laid out, and the music is picked up directly from Mt. Rokko... That's the attention to detail☆

The cylinder is fitted with a picture book shelf, and behind it is a bench. The bench can be used as a space for parenting consultations.

Sannomiya, Kobe city, is expected to develop and become more convenient and liveable. It's been six years since we opened Nakayoshi Library Kobe. We are very grateful to be able to work in a place like this. We will treasure this opportunity and spread the goodness of wood. See you again.
