When we received an order for a dining table this time, the customer requested that the corners be rounded more than those of the tables we normally make. We focused on rounding the corners of both the table and the bench, giving them a smooth, rounded finish.
As we talked, he told us that he had been searching for a table with as few corners as possible, so that his physically disabled daughter would be able to use it safely and without pain if she accidentally bumped into it. Looking around the room, the counters and handrails on the stairs all had soft, rounded edges.
Mr. H's daughter came to watch the production process, and we could sense her concern for him as she was very concerned about the corners of the table. We were really happy to be able to support them.
