On Saturday, we delivered some remade furniture to Michael's house in Sannomiya. I don't know what era the furniture is from, but the job is to remake just the frame of a very old piece of furniture.
Apparently it was used as a medicine box in the past.
First off, the furniture looks like this.

In fact, before the remake, the frame of the furniture had screws that were left unscrewed, the boards were misaligned, and the drawers were not in a good condition to fit in properly. Also, the customer, who moves around a lot, wanted it to be divided into two parts... This was the first time we had repaired such a large piece of furniture, but the manufacturing team finished it for us.
Here you go!!

So cool!!!
The frame is made of cypress, but to match the antique furniture, we used traditional persimmon tannin paint to finish it. We also carefully applied four coats of paint.

Previously, there were drawers that didn't fit, but now they are like this. Each drawer was made by shaving it down to fit, so they fit perfectly into any frame.

The customer was very satisfied, saying that it was smooth and comfortable!!

Michael lives in Japan. He collects fine items from various countries he travels to. He also liked Nakayoshi's furniture. He might ask for some old furniture next time. I'm looking forward to it.
After a hard day's work, I went to a long-established ramen restaurant in Kobe.
To Mokkosu

If you come to Kobe, please stop by. The main store is in Okurayama.
