Visiting a customer's home in Muroto City
Hello. This is Hamada, who has been visiting customers' homes since last month.
Today I went to Muroto city , which is relatively close and in the same Kochi prefecture.
An hour and a half drive along the seaside road
We arrived at Muroto City, located in the easternmost part of Kochi Prefecture. Muroto City is famous for [Muroto Cape], [Muroto Abandoned School Aquarium], [Sea turtle egg-laying], [Diving], and [Coral fishing].
The town is also promoting immigration , and surrounded by the sea and mountains, it seems like a great place to raise children. The warm climate all year round is also appealing.

Today we visited the home of Mr. M. We have been in contact with him since he bought us a Nakayoshi toy six years ago, and his home is filled with Nakayoshi wooden toys and furniture. We will be posting more about his visit in the [Customer Home Visit Diary] soon (^^♪

Two sisters, "Yuiko-chan" and "Riko-chan"♪, taught us various games during the shoot. Among the furniture of their friendship, there are many favorite toys lined up, and in the play kitchen, a large amount of food is lined up.

A private house renovated into a spacious and open home.

The house that we visited is a 70-year-old private home. They moved from an apartment to a house 4 years ago, and renovated it while leaving everything that was usable intact. They took advantage of the old house's entrance hall and the large number of rooms to gently separate the children's room and the dining table, creating a very cozy space. The large garden also makes for a very attractive environment for raising children.
We will post more about this later in our [Customer Home Visit Diary]. Please check it out (^^♪
After the visit, we went to the Muroto Aquarium.
About 20 minutes by car from Muroto City where Mr. M lives, there is an aquarium that uses a closed elementary school! Yes, it is the currently popular [Abandoned School Aquarium] . It is a perfect example of making effective use of a closed elementary school! The Mitoyo Factory of Nakayoshi Library is also a closed school, so we stopped by to learn more about it.

Oh! It's a school! Apparently, the elementary school was closed down and they had to think of a new way to use it, and it took 12 years (12 years after the school closed down) to complete the aquarium. It's a wonderful project that was made possible by the local people and public-private partnerships (^^♪ There's a lot to learn from this **
There are many kinds of fish, mainly sea turtles.

Turtles are featured in toys and clips from the Nakayoshi Library. The largest sea turtles at the Muroto Abandoned School Aquarium are about 1 meter long. They actually swim in the outdoor pool!
Turtle Sounds fun!
There are sharks and turtles in the pool
Inside, the three-story school building, which was renovated from a classroom, is filled with large aquariums, each filled with a variety of fish that live off the coast of Muroto.
A turtle about 1 metre long A motionless fish
What surprised me was that there were some rare creatures that you don't see often at other aquariums (I'm not an expert on fish), such as a turtle with a shell over 1 meter in size, a motionless red fish, and also a crab?
As an animal lover, I was touched by the size of the turtles and the way they swam gracefully.

Cute and good looking too!!
There are also seahorses and moray eels.

There are also seahorses.

Since it is an elementary school, the classrooms remain as they are, with students carrying shells and stuffed animals on display.

I had another appointment that day, so I couldn't take my time looking around, but it's a fun aquarium to visit with children. Personally, I thought the turtles were cute, but there are also a lot of rare fish. The idea of an elementary school being an aquarium is great, isn't it? I wonder who came up with it. We will also do our best to make an abandoned woodworking school (^^♪
