PC desk delivery

PCデスクの配達

I had a meeting in Takatsuki, Osaka this weekend. It was about the interior furniture of a new nursery school that is scheduled to be built next spring. The designer here is someone I worked with when I was in my 20s, and even though I've changed jobs, we've continued to have a relationship. He told me that he'd moved his office, so I was excited to go, and it was an exposed concrete office with a high ceiling, typical of an architect.

It seems that the demand for new construction has decreased dramatically due to the new coronavirus, but old house renovation work and remodeling seem to be increasing. Every industry is changing, and now we can talk on an equal footing, but in the past we used to get scolded a lot... (laughs) It was such a nostalgic meeting.

Delivering a PC desk to Kochi City

Now, I went to deliver a PC desk to a house in Kochi city.

I ordered a drawer for my study desk so that I could put a keyboard on it. The customer who ordered it seems that he often works from home, and was looking for a PC desk made of real wood, so he asked Nakayoshi to make it for him (^^♪

He is returning from Tokyo to his hometown in Kochi and will continue working there from now on.

Pull out the sliding tray to place the keyboard

When you pull the sliding tray all the way out, it will lock into place with a click. To allow for wiring to pass through, there is no back panel, and the cords come out from the notch on the top panel.

It is a comfortable solid piece of wood that does not use plywood. I am very happy that it will be useful for a long time to come. Thank you for yesterday, Mr. M. (^^♪

The coronavirus has forced both designers and us to change the way we work in the manufacturing industry. Nowadays, we buy things and hold meetings online, but you can only see things face-to-face, and you can tell by a person's facial expressions and the way they speak whether they want to work together or commission someone. I think that connections between people are only made in person.

In fact, by being able to deliver directly like this, I realize that changes in living environments are occurring all over the place. Perhaps the demand for delivering wooden products is spreading to rural areas, rather than being concentrated in cities.

As we continue to work both online and in person, there's not much left of this year! Let's do our best. See you then~
