Kichijoji store ❀ Dondoyaki? Onbe? Sagicho? ❀

どんと焼き(おんべ)着火前の様子

It's been cold every day ☃

During the recent three-day weekend, I smelled smoke in the morning...
When we asked the customer, he told us that a Dondoyaki festival was being held at a nearby elementary school.
Dondoyaki is a traditional event where decorations such as New Year's pine decorations and shimenawa ropes are burned.
It seems that many areas hold it around January 15th every year.
I remember how special it was to get together early in the morning when it was still dark and roast rice cakes together☺

By the way, it's interesting to see how the names change depending on the region!
In my hometown, we call it "Onbe"! (It seems to be a common name in Kanagawa, Shizuoka, and Nagano prefectures.)
What was your area called?

When I told my mother that I was feeling nostalgic, she sent me a photo of the local area before it was lit up✨
A magnificent tower has been completed.

I hope that this year will be a year of good health and fun without any injuries or illnesses (ღ*ˇᴗˇ*)。o

Thank you for your reservation for the store-only lucky bag!

At Nakayoshi Library physical stores,
To show our appreciation, we are holding a lucky bag sale until today, the 13th.

Because it is limited to the store,
We had customers come from far away, and some even met up for the first time in a long time... (*ˇᴗˇ*)。o〇The new year was filled with cheerful and happy voices 🥰

I think that thanks to all of you, we have had a great start to the year.
Thank you to everyone who came and ordered!

Our products are carefully handmade by our craftsmen and delivered to you.

I would be happy if you could actually come to our store and see the texture and smoothness of the wood, and the attention to detail.
Lucky bags will also be made to order, so please look forward to their arrival!

We have started selling Hina dolls for March.

We are currently exhibiting Hina dolls at the Kichijoji store. (We will be exhibiting Triangle Dolls soon!)

These Hina dolls are made from a variety of materials, so they will develop a richer, deeper flavor as your child grows.

Please come and see us at our Kichijoji store ☺
