Hello(^^)/
Do you know "Molly"?
This is the wooden toy robot that often appears on the Kobe store's Instagram☆
Amagasaki City is implementing a wood education program for young children to help children develop an affinity for trees and a deeper understanding of the importance of forests through play. Wood education sets, including building blocks and picture-story shows, are distributed to kindergartens and nursery schools in the city that have five-year-olds enrolled.
The wooden educational set features a robot named "Molly", also known as the robot himself.
We were invited to visit Nanamatsu Kindergarten in Amagasaki City, which uses the wood education set, as they were going to perform a play featuring Molly (*^-^*)
"Momotaro and Moritaro"
The story is about a prince who cuts down a tree and a Molly emerges, who he names Moritaro and goes on a quest to defeat demons with Momotaro and friends.
The trees used in the play were apparently made by the children using natural materials.
The children all came up with stories and had a lot of fun acting out them (^^♪
And Molly was loved by children too.
When I had a chance to look into the classroom of the older children,
There is Molly's world...
There was also a stroller and a house that the children had made together to take Molly for walks.
Molly is a gentle wooden toy that will always have you smiling at any time.
I hope that through playing with Molly, she will continue to develop a kind heart.
I would be happy if the Wood Education Set continues to help children become familiar with trees and learn about Japan's forests (*^-^*)
