Well, today I delivered a queen-size bed to the home of a friend of the principal of the nursery school that I work at.
The colors are so cool!! This is a Shuri Sakura bed.
Not only the headboard, but everything except the slats (made of cypress) is made from Shuri Sakura wood. It is a high-quality wood that has been used for furniture since ancient times.
American black cherry is widely available in Japan, but you won't find many beds made from domestically grown Shuri cherry. Compared to cherry, it has a deeper red color, which gives it a more luxurious feel.
This time we custom made it to fit the size of our mattress.
There are two outlets and a USB cable at the bedside. You can also place your smartphone on the adhesive side, which is convenient.
This bed is simple yet functional. We will continue to make prototypes and work towards selling the product.
