I went to Tokyo for the first time in a year. It was the Hoikuhaku 2021, an exhibition and business meeting for nursery schools, kindergartens, and daycare centers. Nakayoshi Library set up a booth at the Kochi Prefecture booth as part of the Tosa Wood Distribution Promotion Council . We packed everything into a small space, and because we were too greedy, there was almost no room for customers lol.
However, many customers came to the event. Nakayoshi Library's childcare furniture was not inferior to other childcare providers from all over the country! Our craftsmen make our toys and furniture carefully, so they are products that you can be proud of no matter where you show them.
Delivery of the nursery school gate.
We went to deliver a gate to Sakurazuka Nursery School in Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture.
This storage furniture has a gate that separates the space between 1-year-olds and 2-year-olds. One side is a shelf for storing puzzles and toys. The gate can be opened and closed to the left and right.
Other childcare companies have similar gates, but this time we produced a similar product at the request of a customer. However, we felt it would be unfair to copy the mechanism exactly, so we made it entirely out of wood, using as few metal fittings as possible.
The door through which the gate comes out is made of wood, and the rail that slides the gate is also made of wood. The heavier it is, the more difficult it is for children to open it, and the more sturdy it is, so it won't break easily.
The shelves in the storage area can be fixed either flat or at an angle, making it easy to see puzzles and other items. The principal said, "The children's interests are completely different" when the shelves are angled this way.
You can store toys with plenty of room. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the bottom shelf is flat and the shelves from the second shelf onwards are slanted. *A plate to prevent toys from slipping off is also included.
The shelves are movable, so you can change the level to suit what you want to display. Our interns are also working here today.
