Hello. I'm Shimojo, a staff member.
Before I knew it, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom everywhere, and I couldn't help but stare at how beautiful they were. Spring in Kochi goes by so quickly, so I hope you can enjoy the spring that passes in the blink of an eye.
Requests from local governments
At the request of the local government, Kami City Hall, we were tasked with producing shelves for the shoe lockers at Tosayamada Elementary School in Kochi Prefecture, and for the newly built classrooms for two fifth-grade classes on the third floor.
Kusume Elementary School is located very close to the Nakayoshi Library Kochi Factory, about a 5-minute drive away. The total number of students at the school used to be under 200, but this year it has exceeded 200. I often hear about schools closing and declining numbers around me, so I was happy to hear that the population of children is increasing. Since there will be two classes for the fifth grade, the music room on the third floor has been converted into a classroom.
Let's move it in!
Our reliable production staff made several trips in light trucks from the factory to bring the lockers, and now it's time to start moving them in (^^)/
First, we installed shelves in the classrooms on the third floor, which was the most difficult part.
We carried the furniture up and down the outside stairs to the third floor about seven times. This was pretty hard! I also helped out by carrying the shelves, but I was still out of breath (lol)
The pair of Muneishi and Chikamori were very reliable (^^) We were worried about the rain, but perhaps thanks to the presence of a sunny man or woman, the weather was good and it was a perfect day for delivery.
This is what it looked like once the sliding doors were installed. *It was smooth and silky, and perfectly matched the atmosphere of the classroom, which was designed with great care.
I envy the children who get to spend time in such a wonderful classroom.
Wooden shoe cupboards installed on the first floor
,
A new wooden shoe cupboard was installed on top of the original one.
A nice shoe rack has been installed next to it, making the entrance seem a little brighter.
The east entrance is where the teachers come in and out, so it's a shoe locker for the teachers (^^)
It has a door so your shoes aren't visible and it looks neat.
The Kami City Hall staff and teachers who came to witness the installation also saw and touched the newly installed furniture, and gave it lots of praise, saying how good it was (*^-^*) Nakayoshi's furniture is definitely different! I was very happy to hear them say this.
Thank you very much to Kami City Hall and Kusume Elementary School for giving us this opportunity.
I hope that this furniture will be one that children and teachers will cherish for a long time to come.
I was surprised to find out that I walked 10,000 steps through the elementary school during the delivery work that day ^_^
