Every month, we receive a lot of feedback and opinions on what kind of furniture we want from the giveaway entry page. One mother or user said, "My child has just started elementary school, and he has a lot of study materials and clothes that are left out, so it would be nice to have a wooden shelf that can store everything at once."

I realized that there weren't any shelves large enough to store school bags and clothes, so I came up with the idea for the Clothes and School Bag Storage Shelf.

Recommended point 1 ~ Adult design ~

When thinking about product designs, we first listen to the needs of our customers and draw up sketches. Wooden furniture can last for over 100 years if it is used with care. It has a longer lifespan than a human, so it would be a waste to only think about it when you are a child!! We always think about designs that can be used for a long time, even when you become a student or an adult. Wooden and simple. Our design concept is furniture for adults and children.

Recommended point 2: Use it in a natural state.

Nakayoshi Library's children's furniture is primarily made from cypress from Kochi Prefecture. The trees are 50 to 70 years old and are of high quality. As there are few knots and only the best parts are used, the cost of materials is not cheap, but the longer you use it, the more it will turn amber and improve in luster. As time goes on, artificial wood grain "looks" are often used, but considering the harm to humans caused by harmful substances released from adhesives, we still prefer to provide natural wood for children.

Recommended point 3 ~ Uses safe and natural paints

The process that Nakayoshi Library spends the most time on is painting and polishing. We place great importance on the safety of polishing for children, so we round the corners and finish so that they don't hurt when they touch it. We polish the pieces many times to make them smooth. And then there's the paint. We use vegetable-derived Libos oil for the paint. We polish the pieces while allowing vegetable oils such as linseed oil and perilla oil to penetrate the wood. It's not a petroleum-based paint, so it has no unpleasant odor and brings out the wood grain. Best of all, it's harmless to the human body, so you can apply it without a mask. Of course, we use the same paint for the toys as well.

Choose the shape of your wooden legs

Please choose from two leg styles. The leg type has a leg height of 15cm, so it can accommodate the tip of a cleaning robot or vacuum cleaner.

The legless type is designed to prevent dust and other objects from getting underneath, so it feels very stable.

Wooden furniture adapted to children's height

Since it was created with the concept of "furniture for children entering elementary school," the height is 125cm (115cm without legs). That's about the same height as second and third grade elementary school students, so it's the perfect height for children to use.

Easy to use height

For convenience, store frequently used items slightly below eye level and hang books and clothes slightly above eye level. The height of the adjustable shelves can be adjusted in 3cm increments, so you can adjust it to your preferred height.

Change the use to suit your lifestyle

If you use it from elementary school age, your child will grow taller every year, and their shoulders will gradually get wider, making the clothes feel cramped. In that case, use the clothes as a closet and remove the bolts on the clothes hanger to use it as a shelf. We also accept requests for additional shelves at any time.

After delivery

At Nakayoshi Library, we use simple packaging to make effective use of resources and to avoid leaving waste at customers' homes as much as possible. Items are delivered without air caps (bubble wrap), but we do seal the corners, so it's not a case of cutting corners. *This acts as a better cushioning material than air caps. We are careful with packaging and inspection, but if you find any major scratches or dents after unpacking, please contact us. We will deal with it immediately.

The cardboard box will arrive with the main unit and legs in one box. Please open the box and assemble it according to the following steps. (Only for models with legs)

Place the device upside down

Place the legs on top of the main body, which is placed upside down, and tighten them using the included joint bolts.

Please make sure you wake them up together.

Please make sure to have two people set up the furniture. Putting too much strain on the legs can cause damage. Also, please set it up with two people to avoid straining your back.
