Teikyo University of Science Senju Sakuragi Nursery School in Adachi Ward, Tokyo opened in April 2020. Students from Teikyo University of Science (Department of Early Childhood Care) can also use the school as a place for childcare training, interacting with the school on a daily basis and always being aware of the latest information.
This time, to mark the opening of the nursery we delivered wooden nursery furniture such as tables and chairs made from cypress.
In the course of daily childcare, there are many situations in which partitions are required within the childcare room. In particular, children aged 0 to 1 year are still young and cannot understand the instructions of childcare workers. We believe that room partitions are an essential childcare item in order to provide peace of mind to children and ensure their comfort.
The floor boards of the partition are cut at an angle to eliminate any steps and allow people to pass through smoothly.
The door is unlocked by lifting the door , so small children cannot open it. Although it looks simple at first glance, it is stylish and safer because it does not use any metal parts.
The partitions proposed by Nakayoshi Library are up to 70 cm high. Anything over 70 cm can make a spacious room feel cramped and make it difficult to see the children's expressions and actions.
In addition, the lattice design creates a more open feeling and matches the atmosphere of the room perfectly.

We have installed tables of different sizes to suit each age group in the rooms for children aged 0 to 5. At Nakayoshi Library, we can make tables in any size you require, in addition to the standard sizes.
0-1 year old room
For small children aged 0 or 1, it can be used for eating and drawing. It doesn't have to be a very large table, about 90 cm is just the right size.
Of course, it can be changed to match a table with a height of 34 cm. The seat height is different on the front and back, so it can be used according to the growth of each child.

At the age of two, children start to be able to work on the table by themselves and become interested in various things. We recommend that children gradually start to sit comfortably at a larger table.
The chair height is also adjusted to match the desk height.

Original plates are placed at the entrance of each room. Each design is original and made to order, making each plate truly one of a kind.
The illustrations are not colored at all, but rather the original color of the wood is used to express the shading. Of course, even the small holes and letters are cut out by hand.
As times change, manual labor is gradually decreasing and mechanization is progressing, but this finish cannot be produced without the manual labor of craftsmen.
What we value is that our products be used in as close to natural conditions as possible. In childcare facilities where many children gather, some children are sensitive to the chemicals contained in adhesives. In order to provide a comfortable and safe environment, we use only the minimum amount of adhesives, and by applying natural oils that are food-grade safe, you can feel the natural beauty of wood.
After delivery
Of course, it is our mission to carefully complete and deliver the products that we receive, but what I value most is working with our customers to solve any problems they may have.
