The products made by Nakayoshi Library are different from those mass-produced products; they are all wooden study desks made by craftsmen from scratch using domestic solid wood.

We carefully select only the parts of the wood with beautiful grain. The inside of the drawers is made of natural cedar. The scent of cypress and cedar fills the room. You can enjoy the wonderful scent.

Round all corners

It has been carefully polished and feels smooth to the touch. All corners are rounded for a gentle finish. Made from natural materials and finished with natural oils. This is the quality of handcraft that can only be found at Nakayoshi Library.

The drawers have dividers.

The smaller drawer of the desk with two drawers has a divider. It can be inserted and removed, so it is convenient for storing stationery, documents, and files. Even with the divider in place, A4 size files can be stored.

It contains a substance called hinokitiol, which has a calming and soothing effect, and is a fragrance that creates a Japanese gentleness. The more the wood is used, the more glossy it becomes. In the past, many cypress trees were used in Shosoin and temples and shrines, and Buddhist altars were also made of cypress. Nakayoshi Library's products are made from natural cypress, which is particularly valuable among Japanese cypress trees. The wood is carefully cut, polished, and handcrafted by craftsmen to create high-quality furniture. We deliver directly from the manufacturer , so we can directly deliver the gentleness of this handcrafted work, paying only for high-quality Japanese wood and the labor costs of our craftsmen.

The inside of the drawers is made of natural cedar. It is natural cedar with many annual rings, so it has a wonderful scent and beautiful grain. Generally, plywood is used, but all Nakayoshi products are finished with solid wood.

Study desk design

Desk maintenance

Hinoki is a wood that becomes more beautiful the more it is polished. Simply wipe it thoroughly with cotton to make it shiny. This is because the wood contains an ingredient called Hinoki oil, which makes the surface shiny. To make it even more beautiful, soak a cloth in Libos oil once a year and scrub it as if removing dirt. This will result in a top-quality product. Even if your child no longer uses it and you give it to a friend or relative, I'm sure they will be impressed when they see the well-maintained product. The Hinoki used for the floors of large temples shines brightly.

Delivery of study desks

The product will be shipped semi-finished. Simply open the cardboard box, pull it out, and bolt the legs to the main body. (A wrench is included). It can be carried by one adult.
