A rectangular dining table with rounded corners that is perfect for families

Introducing a simple dining table with only a tabletop and legs. We have been trying to develop a product that is different from the usual rectangular design for some time, but it was difficult to produce due to the warping of the tabletop and the shape of the legs, so we have finally completed it. Although it is a simple dining table with only a tabletop and legs, it looks slim and you can store chairs with armrests inside.

Diagonally cut round legs

The legs stretch straight down to the floor. This was the common specification for Nakayoshi Library up until now, but this time the table legs have been simplified to just the legs and tabletop, excluding the apron. The round legs are made of tapered cypress. *The legs get thinner towards the end. I think this is a table that you can place stylishly, with an emphasis on visual appeal.

Rounded top

The corners of the tabletop are rounded and all surfaces are shaved down by about 5 mm. Children around 2 to 3 years old tend to hit their heads on the corners of the table. It would be a waste to use commercially available cushioning material on the table. Therefore, all corners are rounded and polished to a smooth finish.

So that you can enjoy it for a long time.

The underside of the tabletop is treated with an iron "anti-warping" device. Wood continues to breathe even after it has been made into a product, and has the ability to adjust the humidity in the air. All Nakayoshi Library products are "finished with natural oils", which provides excellent conditioning for the wood. As the table is used in its natural state, it may warp as it absorbs and releases moisture. This anti-warping device prevents this warping. Although it is an invisible part, it is made with the characteristics of wood in mind.

A rounded rectangular table recommended for a family of four

Both the table at Nakayoshi Library's office and the dining table at home are simple dining tables with just a tabletop and legs. We think the biggest advantage of this dining table is that you can freely change the position of your feet when sitting on the chair. As lifestyles change, dining tables are no longer just for eating, but also serve various purposes such as a place to study, work, watch TV, and relax. Some people like to cross their legs or sit cross-legged on the chair. Therefore, we want to ensure that the space at the feet is as large as possible and that this simple design allows you to use it without stress.

The legs are easy to attach and detach

The legs can be attached and detached using the included hex wrench. When tightening, turn clockwise. The legs will loosen gradually after about a year of use, so if the table starts to wobble, please tighten them further.

There is an adjuster embedded in the bottom of the legs. Turning the adjuster allows you to adjust the table by about 5 to 10 mm. If the table is wobbly after delivery, please turn this to adjust it. *Generally, wobbles occur when the floor of the house is not flat. Wooden floors in particular tend to be uneven, so an adjuster is essential.

Rounded rectangular table size variations

We offer two basic size variations. Please refer to the recommended number of users for each size. *We can also produce custom sizes, so please feel free to contact us.

Width 165cm [For 4 people]

If the width is 165cm , the leg spacing is 129cm. Two chairs can be stored with plenty of room. There is also enough space between the chairs to sit next to each other without stress. The dimensions are quite spacious. We recommend this size when dining with the family.

Width 180cm

If the width is 180cm , the distance between the legs is 144cm. It can accommodate 2 to 3 chairs. It is recommended for home parties or when a large number of people gather around the table. The large tabletop is also attractive for those who work at home. There is still room to spread out your PC and documents.
