In April 2020, a new nursery school, Hughug Settsu Tomitaen , will open in Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture.
The nursery school, located on the first floor of the building, is a small-scale facility for 13 children aged 1 and 2.
Takatsuki City is located exactly halfway between Osaka and Kyoto, and there are JR and Hankyu lines nearby, so access to the city center is good.
This time, we delivered furniture for the Nakayoshi Library to a small nursery school run by Ikuei Co., Ltd.

We believe that the relaxing effect of cypress will help develop rich emotional maturity in children.
The biggest feature of solid wood is that it is overwhelmingly stronger than furniture made from plywood or flashing materials.
Unlike flashing materials, the painted surface will not peel or peel off, and even if it does get scratched or graffitied, with proper maintenance you can use it for a long time.

The wooden desks and chairs we make come in sets of four, with heights varying in increments of 25mm, and the chairs can be stacked for easy storage even in limited spaces.

All of the lockers, desks, and chairs we make are finished with rounded corners.
This will allow for safer and more secure childcare.
Of course, there is no need for cushioning on the corners.
In addition to its childcare business, Ikuei Co., Ltd. also works as a housekeeping service and babysitter , so we created this site based on the perspective of a babysitter and their past experience.
I heard that this is your first time starting a childcare business. What prompted you to do so?
In today's society, where more women are working and dual-income households are on the rise, we wanted to create a nursery school where children could grow up with a warm, rich heart, just like they would at home.
I see. As a babysitter and housekeeper, you had a unique way of thinking.
What do you pay attention to when choosing furniture?
First of all, you need to be sure that you can use it safely. It's easy to keep an eye on things in a limited space, but you might accidentally bump your head on something. If the corners of the furniture are rounded, you'll feel safe.
The other is for the caregivers to be the emotional base for each child. We want to cherish an environment where children feel loved and protected, that "we are on their side."

Although it varies depending on the business contents promoted by each prefecture and the country, there are systems that subsidize the introduction of wooden products . This time, we took advantage of Takatsuki City's subsidy system to introduce wooden furniture.
The forest environment tax, which will be introduced in 2024, will be levied at 1,000 yen per person on those who pay resident tax, and is expected to generate tax revenue of 60 billion yen per year .
The taxes collected are distributed to municipalities and prefectures and used to subsidize the introduction of timber for forest management and public facilities .
