It has been three months since I joined the company.

Hello everyone. Some of you may have seen my name on blogs or in e-mail newsletters, but I am a staff member named Shimojo. It will be three months since I joined the company at the end of this year. In those three months, I have had the opportunity to experience many things, many more than I had ever imagined.
I still have a short experience here, so I would be happy if I could share with you what I felt when I joined this company and what kind of work I actually do, and give you some idea of what I am doing. Please bear with me for a little while if you are interested.
Why I joined the company
I have worked in various occupations. I have worked in apparel, medical care, design offices, etc., and learned the importance of customer service. I have also worked silently, thinking up and proposing my own designs. I was looking at various job hunting sites and was thinking about the occupations I had done up until now, and this company caught my eye.
At first I didn't really understand what web sales was a job, but when I looked more closely at the duties, I saw that it would involve creating the website, taking photos to post on product pages, regular updates on social media, proposing custom-made furniture and dealing with customers through chat, and holding regular workshops. Personally, I love social media, and I often take photos as a hobby, so I was very interested and began to think that it would be a job that I could do.
I thought that a job that would require me to think about different things every day and provide some stimulation might suit me, so I went for an interview and was fortunate enough to be hired.

What I realized after joining the company

Everyone is friendly and has been kind to me, even though I've just joined the company. It's an environment where it's easy to ask questions and seek advice, so I think it's a very good company atmosphere. The factory staff and sales staff closely check on the progress of their work at the morning and closing meetings every day. It's a very good habit to understand the staff who are doing different tasks and help each other out.

Moreover, the president immediately entrusted me with work even though I had just joined the company. Although I received help from him, I felt a sense of responsibility and fulfillment as an employee as I worked on my job. Every night, I fell asleep in an instant after getting into bed, and the day passed by in an instant.
This is the kind of work I do.

We answer customer questions via chat, and if they have any inquiries such as, "I would like to make this kind of furniture," we calculate and provide an estimate, share the image of the furniture and make a proposal by drawing illustrations, or draw a blueprint and have them confirm it, and then hand it over to our furniture production staff to make it.

We receive a variety of inquiries from the general public, nursery schools, and corporations.
Since joining the company, I have had the opportunity to deliver custom-made furniture to customers' homes and also help out in a workshop at a car dealership.

The biggest job I had during these past three months was accompanying someone to Hoikuhaku, an exhibition for buyers and people involved with nursery schools that is held every year in Tokyo.
It was inspiring to be back in Tokyo after such a long time, and although I was nervous about doing full-scale face-to-face sales activities, I've always enjoyed interacting with people, so it was a great opportunity for the visitors to see, touch and feel Nakayoshi Library's products in person while having fun conversations, and for them to get to know the company Nakayoshi Library.
Future goals
Because my job is the first point of contact with customers, I would like to pay more attention to being polite when communicating via chat, email, or phone, and to creating an atmosphere that makes it easy for customers to feel at ease.
Although the administrative sales staff and factory staff each perform different tasks, they all share the same desire to deliver products that will please our customers. We will continue to take on new challenges and do our best to be in a position where I can proudly introduce Nakayoshi Library to our customers, so we hope you will continue to support Nakayoshi Library.
If you have any questions or concerns about furniture, toys, or anything else, please feel free to talk to us through the chat on our website, so please feel free to use it.
Thank you very much for reading my blog this year. I will continue to provide various information next year, so please look forward to it.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year **
As an aside, this year's Christmas cake was Zeniya's strawberry chocolate tart ♪ It was delicious *
