Today, I received shiitake mushrooms from one of my employees, Kentaro. I made a rice bento using them. The soup stock is made from scallops sent from Hokkaido. It's something from the sea and the mountains.

On Monday, we held a Christmas workshop at the Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka . It was a relaxed workshop in the hotel's cultural classroom. Today, we made a Christmas tree.
Today's participants are all adults. They are introducing the somewhat difficult story of tree rings in a picture storytelling show. The hand-made picture storytelling show by the Kobe store staff is easy to understand for adults as well as children. I listened from behind and thought, "I see, I see..."
The workshop is also intended to help people learn more about trees, so we make it fun, easy to understand, and casual to learn about them. We would like to make this Kamishibai into a series next year.
Today is a special workshop using many different types of materials. After bonding, we will finish it by applying oil.
When you apply oil, the color of the wood changes to a darker, more distinct color, giving it a luxurious feel. Meat even looks more like the real thing.
In this way, after about 2 hours, the carefully crafted Christmas tree was completed. The most time was spent polishing it, so the corners were also smooth♪ A cute tree was completed☆
This year has been a year that has been closely connected to hotels, as we opened a store at the Hotel Okura Kobe and were invited to the hotel's cultural classes. Hotels and woodworking. It was something that I had never really thought of as having a common ground, but through workshops, the relationship is gradually expanding. We will continue to hold workshops using domestic materials in various places, including business trips and our own events.
