Good evening. Yesterday, we delivered to Teikyo University of Science's new nursery school. It took a whole day to deliver the toy shelves, tables, chairs, and custom room plates . This is the first delivery to a nursery school this year. We're off to a good start (^^♪
Partitions - furniture for dividing rooms
The partitions separating the rooms are for the newborn class. This time, we proposed hinged doors instead of sliding doors. We wondered if we could make them without using metal fittings as much as possible.

Wow!! It's a simple wooden partition. There are three rows of lattice design next to a shelf for changing clothes that can be used from both sides.

This is the type that opens by lifting it up like this, so children can't open it. We didn't use any metal keys, so it's really neat and tidy, and it opens and closes smoothly. The whole thing is made of solid cypress boards, so it's a little heavy, which is a drawback. But that's because it's made of real wood.
So, to all the nursery teachers out there, please understand that the slight weight is a sign of authenticity (laughs).
Wooden room plates for each room

We created custom room plates for each room. The design of these room plates was revised many times, and we think it turned out great.

I think this is a job that only Nakayoshi Library could do. That's because all the colors are produced using the natural colors of wood.

That's right. It's not colored at all. There's a lot of beautifully colored wood in Japan. So when a wooden room plate is completed like this, it has a different sense of luxury compared to plastic or wood that is simply burned with a laser.
The members of Nakayoshi Toy Factory used their handicraft skills to create this wooden room plate, which is smooth to the touch.
The plate in the photo above , even the letters on the thermometer and the holes in the bandage are all made of wood . It's a very detailed job. I know it sounds like I'm bragging because it's our company, but I'm amazed to see this handiwork technique. By the way, the president can't do it.

We can't introduce them all, but we've installed them in 16 locations in total. Kubo, the nursery school's sales representative, carefully installed each one. His job is to do everything from creating websites for nurseries and kindergartens, to holding meetings with customers, and delivering and installing them. One of the good things about being a small company is that we don't have many departments or responsibilities, so it's a "I have to do everything" situation. As a result, you end up being able to do anything (laughs).
Each nursery room is equipped with a rectangular table and chairs.
Each room for children aged 0 to 5 will have tables and chairs appropriate for their age. With all this wooden nursery furniture, the scent of a new home has already changed to the scent of wood. The power of nature is truly amazing.

The class for newborns has cute changeable chairs and square tables.

The 5-year-old class has stackable chairs and a large rectangular table measuring 1200 x 900. I felt this table while carrying it, but it is very wide. It seems to be spacious enough for six children to sit around it.

You can specify the height of the legs of the stacking chair when you first order, so we set it a little lower for the 2-year-old. It looks cute too.

There will also be large tables in the 3-year-olds' class. This size was custom-made, and it was hard to carry. It was heavy. But once it was set up, it looks like there will be lots of different activities on the tables. For crafts, drawing, and eating. I hope they'll use it a lot (^^♪

A service that other companies can't provide
What makes Nakayoshi Library's products for daycare centers different from other companies? Is it that they use a lot of wood?
Of course, we do that, but we do our best to provide quality products using wood as the main material. But more than that, we want to solve the problems our customers face. So, we try to offer products that go a little beyond what our customers want, like cute room plates that catch the mothers' eyes, or partitions that don't use metal fittings.

Although we cannot mass produce, we would like to deliver products that are handmade one by one, filled with the passion of our craftsmen. We believe that the children who use our products will also develop their sensibilities by touching the real material of "wood" rather than mass-produced products, and by experiencing the weight, scent, and texture of handmade products from an early age .
We would like to continue to work with our customers to create things that are good for children's environments (^^♪

We would like to thank Professor Otsuki and Professor Manabe from Teikyo University of Science, and everyone at the site who helped us.
