Partition furniture for nursery rooms for 0-2 year olds
This time we delivered room divider furniture to a nursery school in Mitaka City, Tokyo.
It will replace the partition furniture that was previously used.
The space cares for children of different ages on one floor, and as the number of children entering changes each year (there is no restriction or rule such as 0 years old → x number of children, 1 year old → x number of children), it was difficult to clearly separate them by age, so we proposed using rearrangeable partitions.
There was furniture there previously dividing the rooms, but the doors were used as partitions, which seemed a little inconvenient for the children and teachers to use.
After delivery and construction
Doors have also been installed in three places, making it easier to use than before.
Combined with a storage shelf, it has been transformed into a space that gently divides the room.
Since the number of people in each age group changes each year, the layout of the partitions can be rearranged accordingly.
Joints have been added to the sides and back of the shelves, making it possible to divide them at 90-degree angles.
Doors with gaps give a feeling of openness.
We made it with a lattice door so that people can see what the children are doing and feel reassured.
A swing door opens and closes by lifting the door.
Teachers can rest assured that children cannot open it easily.
If you look at it from a slightly higher angle, it's easier to see how the furniture dividers are installed.
I was able to divide it up nicely to suit the space in the room I was using.
It will also be easier to rearrange people depending on the year.
We hope this will be helpful for those who are considering purchasing furniture dividers for their nursery rooms.
