Hmm... I guess a scaffolder would usually set up the scaffolding, right? All the construction work on our house is done by two carpenters. (They're two people I know well.) So the carpenters set up the scaffolding. Yes, it's a very uneasy scaffolding lol
I feel the amazingness of skilled carpenters almost every week. Well, let's put aside the small details of safety and cleaning for a moment. More than that, this site is full of wisdom and ingenuity! I'm learning a lot! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Delivered to Sakurazuka Nursery School
Now, on to the main topic. Yesterday, we went to deliver a product to Sakurazuka Nursery School in Osaka. This is a storage gate that we made to order. The doors close from both sides and click together in the middle! The wooden lock automatically locks the gate. This mechanism is common in nursery furniture, but it combines the playfulness and ease of use that are unique to Nakayoshi Library, making it a really great product (^^♪
The shelves in the storage area are slanted, making it easier to take out puzzles and dolls, and easier for children to choose from. Of course, you can also make the shelves flat.
This is a large piece of furniture used to separate the rooms for 1-year-olds and 2-year-olds. It is 3930mm wide . Apparently, documents are placed on the shelf out of reach of the children. A smooth wooden gate♪ The gate can also be opened from the other side . All of the nursery school gate furniture is made from domestic materials, and the gate mechanism only uses the bare minimum of metal fittings. Even the parts where the lock and door retract are all made of wood. Wooden furniture can be used for a long time with peace of mind, rather than metal fittings which deteriorate and become easily damaged. Above all, we think that this product was made possible only because Nakayoshi Library is made from 100% domestic materials**
After the delivery, we had the opportunity to tour Sakurazuka Nursery School. This tree with beautiful branches was delivered by Tokuda Meiki when the school was newly built. It is popular among the children as a tree to climb. The principal and the office manager both love the natural feel of the tree. After they visited our headquarters in Kochi a few years ago, they said they had been thinking, "I hope this will become a Nakayoshi Library someday." This was the first time we had worked with them.
I hope we can continue our relationship for a long time to come.
Construction of the kids' room at Kobe Mazda
After coming back to Kobe, I went to Kobe Mazda's Event Square Jamesyama U-Car Land store to witness the floor installation. The carpenters from Tsumugi Construction, who I always rely on, installed the floor.
This cedar flooring is 303mm square, lightweight, scratch-resistant, and has a rubber backing that makes it non-slip, making it highly easy to install . Simply lay it down and you'll have a Japanese cedar flooring.
And it has a checkered pattern! It looks great. It matches the black interior of Kobe Mazda very well. The frame is made of cypress boards. Cypress and cedar. The kids room is filled with the scent of wood, made of the two most common types of wood in Japan.
With the addition of wooden play equipment and furniture, it looks more like a kids' room. I hope lots of customers will come and play here this weekend.
