Beech Tree

It has a distinctive white bark and dotted pattern. In Europe, it is called European beach and is used for many toys. In Japan, the virgin beech forests of Shirakami-Sanchi, a registered World Heritage Site, are very famous. Beech nuts are an important food source for animals, and they are called the queen of the forest because of their majestic and beautiful appearance.

Magnolia tree

Its characteristic green bark is a great feature. Its cushiony hardness means it won't scratch knives, making it an indispensable part of everyday life, used for cutting boards, knife handles, and more. Its large leaves are used to wrap miso paste and rice cakes, making it a beloved tree.

Kaya tree

It has a distinctive yellow bark. Among the four, the Kaya tree is the only conifer. It has a very strong scent compared to the other trees. Large Kaya trees are famous as high-quality wood used for Go and Shogi boards.
