Mr. S, Hyogo Prefecture [2023] [Smooth Wooden Car] I chose this as a gift for my child when he was 6 months old. At first, he picked it up and played with it by licking and chewing on the tires. It's a safe shape, so I felt safe putting it in my mouth.
Even now that he is two and a half years old, he still enjoys running around the house and playing with it. It is sturdy and can be played with for a long time. It is just the right size, easy to hold, and very cute. It feels very nice to the touch. It makes a great gift.

Mr. M, Hyogo Prefecture [2023] [Animal Square Boxed] I wondered how they would play with it? Maybe just lick it? Then they started stacking them up! Then they tore them down and seemed to enjoy the sound of the animals bumping into each other!
I thought it was attractive that when they grow up they can play pretend games and do various other things. I'm looking forward to it being given to me as a parent when my child no longer needs it and used as cute interior decoration.

Mr. M, Hyogo Prefecture [2023] [Xylophone] Kobe store sales items I bought this for my son's 1st birthday! I often go to the indoor play area at the Kobe store and I was really interested in the xylophone.
He looks so happy making the sound himself! Even if he hits it hard, it doesn't make an unpleasant sound, and the beautiful sound is soothing. My son was born in April during the cherry blossom season and his name contains the kanji character hinoki, which means hinoki, so the xylophone has the name of two trees, which makes it feel really special!

Mr. K Saitama Prefecture [2023] [Monogatari Theaters] A 1-year-old and a 2-year-old are playing. My one-year-old sister just plays with the wooden blocks, making a clicking sound, but she finds the pleasant sound of the wood soothing. My two-year-old brother loves picture books, so when I do a puppet show based on a story from a picture book, his eyes sparkle as he listens.
He also loves building blocks, so he enjoys stacking them and playing with them. The size is just right, and I appreciate that it comes with storage space so it can be stored compactly. I'd like to play with a variety of stories, so I'd be happy if additional story building blocks are sold separately in the future.

Mr. M, Hyogo Prefecture [2022] [Rolling Animals] A present for my son who will be 6 months old in October 🎁 He is having fun chasing the rolling toy with his eyes! He wants to touch it! He wants to lick it! He has such strong feelings that he is always touching something while looking at it 🙂
It's safe to touch (it's made of wood, but it's not prickly), and even if he licks it, it's safe because it's made of a material 🙂 I feel like his desire to touch it is also a step forward in training him! It was expensive and I hesitated, but it was the first proper toy I've ever received as a gift, so I'm glad I bought it! It's also attractive that it's a toy that can be used for a long time 🙂

Mr. K, Kanagawa Prefecture [2022] [Gachapon play] My son is now 5 months old and has started putting everything in his mouth, so I was looking around for toys that are safe for him to lick and finally found Nakayoshi Library. The fact that they are used by the Imperial Family and the fact that their website shows that they have a very serious attitude towards craftsmanship were the deciding factors for me to buy one.
Ever since the gachapon toy arrived, my son has been licking and chewing it every day with gusto, and it has become his favorite toy. Mr. M Hiroshima Prefecture [2022] Ojabakosan I bought this to celebrate my grandson's first birthday. At first, he was 10 months old and was not yet able to put the ball in and drop it, so an adult showed him, "This is where you put the ball," and showed him how to put it in. He put the ball in and made a rattling noise, and looked curious as it rolled out of the door below, then picked up the ball in both hands and clattered it together, looking very happy.
He turned one last month, and now he can put the ball in and open the bottom door to retrieve the ball that rolls out. He plays with it over and over again. Even though it's only for a short time, I can feel her growing through playing. I keep the tidying up area within reach, so she always has it close by and plays with it. It feels very pleasant to the touch even for adults, and the warmth of the wood and its gentle sound are soothing.

Konouas LLC, Tokyo [2022] Tables and chairs At Haguchiru Land Mizumoto, one of the themes is "wood education." The flooring is made of natural cedar wood, giving the garden a warm atmosphere. While searching for tables and chairs with a similar warmth, we found Nakayoshi Library on the internet.
They are well made, have a nice texture, and fit perfectly with the atmosphere of the nursery, so we purchased two tables and six chairs. We would definitely like to use your services again when we open our second nursery.

Mr. M, Aichi Prefecture [2022] Custom Bookshelves Thank you very much for the custom bookshelf (photo on the right) this time. I wanted to place the new bookshelf next to the one I ordered about two years ago (photo on the left), so I asked for the bottom half to be the same size as the last one.
When I lined them up, I found that not only was the position of the fixed shelves perfect, but even the height of the adjustable shelves was perfect ! Comparing the colors, I could see that the previous bookshelf had aged and taken on a more tasteful color. My kids love this bookshelf. Even kids can tell if something is of good quality. I, too, am soothed by the smooth feel and the smell of cypress. It will be used and treasured in our living room for a long time. The cypress chest that I also ordered this time was beautiful in both appearance and construction, and although I purchased it for my older child, I am already wanting to purchase one for my younger child as well. I would like to order from you again someday.

Mr. S, Hyogo Prefecture [2021] Custom Storage Boxes I bought a round cypress table. The entire surface of the table is smooth and feels great. Every time I use it, I can smell the cypress, which soothes my soul.
I chose a table with a diameter of 90cm and a height of 33cm. It seems that it is still a little high for my 4-year-old daughter to sit on the floor and work on, but it is something that can be used for a long time, so I would like to use it carefully. Mr. T Saitama Prefecture [2021] Baby Set I received this as a baby gift. They say you can start playing with it from around 10 months old, and since my baby is 7 months old now, he licks it, touches it, and looks at it curiously.
But it's cute just to display it in the room, and it's smooth and pleasant to touch. I saw the Nakayoshi Library website and liked the cute design and the fact that it's safe to lick, so I bought other products as well. I can't wait for the day when my child will play with it.

Mr. M, Kochi Prefecture [2021] Baby Set I received this from my mother-in-law. I had seen Nakayoshi Library on TV before and knew about it! I had been interested in the company because it is a purveyor to the Imperial Family, so I was very happy to receive it as a gift!

Mr. Y, Tokyo [2021] Baby Building Blocks Special I gave my grandson a set of baby building blocks to celebrate his 7th month. I chose them because they were the perfect size for a baby's hands and because they were made of natural wood. I also printed his name on them, and they were so cute that my daughter was thrilled! She said that as soon as she opened them, she could smell the wonderful scent of wood.
My grandson seems to be playing with it using all five senses, licking and biting it, and since it is made of a material that is safe to put in your mouth, I can let him play with it without worry. I'm looking forward to him playing with it in various ways in the future. I'd like to buy more toys here as he grows!

Wagons and other items can be orderedI ordered a movable shelf, a picture book shelf, and a wagon as the base. I also ordered a small table last time, and received a changeable chair through a hometown tax donation, so the entire room is covered with Nakayoshi Library furniture, and it's a dream space for children.
My friends come over to play so much that there's no room to walk, but even when it's messy, they don't feel stressed because of the warmth of the wood. There's no clicking noise that plastic makes, so it's really comfortable.
Even in the limited space of a small apartment, custom orders are essential if you want the best possible product. Increasing the number of shelves, lengthening or shortening the width by a few centimeters to fit the room. It may seem like a small request, but I was grateful that they were willing to accommodate my request to make it fit perfectly in my home.
In my house, we don't let the children put away their toys (except for those they've used on the desk), so it's more fun for the parents to tidy up and think, "Ah, so that's what they played with today." -
Mr. M, Tokyo [2021] Animal blocks and changeable chairs I received the animal building blocks as a gift when my daughter was born and the transforming chair as a gift for her first birthday. Both are used almost every day in our home.
Now that he is one and a half years old, he can understand the names of most animals and is gradually starting to say the names of animals.He has more favorite animals and is beginning to develop feelings of love and affection, and I enjoy watching him change the way he plays with and uses the chair as he gets older and older. They made it to a size that would fit a chair we already had at home, and it fit perfectly, like it was part of a set . I also ordered it to be a size that would fit next to the toy shelf, and it was the perfect size. I had originally intended it to be used as a drawing table, but it's the perfect size for eating meals , so I eat at this table every day! Since it arrived, when I come home to the wonderful smell of wood, it's very soothing. It's so cute that I find myself rolling it around and naturally saying things like, "Good luck, turtle!" and "You're fast, rabbit!" It's also fun that there are circles that roll slowly and star shapes that look interesting as they spin. My son loves the circle shape and holds it tightly the whole time. When he was 7 months old, I would just show him the toy, but he would concentrate and follow it with his eyes. When he's fussy, showing it to him often stops him crying! He's now 9 months old and is trying to place the animals on the rails by himself, as in the picture. It's nice to see his growth, and I hope to continue to cherish it and play with it for a long time.

Mr. I, Tokyo [2020] [Stacked chairs] I purchased the bookshelf in the photo for my child, who just turned 1 year and 3 months old, and it arrived in early November! I think children identify books by the pattern and color of the cover, so I chose this bookshelf because the covers are visible when the books are stored, and because I already have a lot of books, they can be stacked for storage.
My child is just over 70cm tall, so he often reaches for books below the first shelf from the bottom where the covers are visible. I have an English book with a sound button on the second shelf from the bottom, and he plays with that book by pressing the button (he can't take it out).
Before the bookshelf arrived, I had selected a few books and put them up on a toy shelf in the tatami-covered play area in the middle of the living room, but most of the time the books were either knocked over or lying around.
The bookshelf that arrived can hold a lot of books, so it's great to place the books on a shelf where the covers are visible and they won't fall over.
However, I didn't take this into account because the only thing you can see on the cover of the Nontan series books that my child likes is the word "Nontan" at the top. Since you can't see the cover design, it seems like he doesn't pick up many Nontan books... I wish the bottom shelf was the same height as the Nontan baby books, but I do n't think he'll read such small books in the future, so it's a problem if he's going to use it for a long time.
We placed the bookshelf we purchased against the wall in the living room, but because it is far from the play area in the middle of the room, our child either reads books on the floor or takes them out to read. While I would really like to place the bookshelf closer to the play area, we don't currently have the space to do so, so I am thinking of teaching him to carry books from the bookshelf to the play area to read.
The bottom shelf, where books are placed with the spine facing forward, is where I store books and stuffed toys. When I used to store books on the toy shelf, I stopped putting book stands in it because my child would swing them around and was worried that the thin metal would hurt him, so I reduced the number of books I put up, but now I use stuffed toys instead of book stands. The bottom shelf would be perfect if it had a movable book stand (but it would probably be expensive...).
I think I'll find the best way to use it as I go! -

Custom sizeThank you for the storage shelves. They are much neater than before, and best of all, the inorganic feel of the polypropylene has been replaced with the warmth of wood, which makes me very happy.
(I regret that I didn't make the top shelf and the additional shelf movable as suggested, as it would have been easier to use even when the clothes on the hangers were grown to adult sizes.)

Mr. T, Niigata Prefecture [2020] [A walk on a rainy day] My kids love playing outside and were having fun finding tadpoles in the rice field next to our house. Then I found this book, "A Walk on a Rainy Day," and thought it was perfect for our home, so I bought it.
I was attracted to the natural wood color. It was very difficult to stack the tadpoles when they were at the bottom. I want to treasure them and use them for many years to come.

Mr. K, Tochigi Prefecture [2020] [Animal building blocks] I bought this as a birthday present for my one-year-old grandson. Before he opened the box, he must have thought it was food😍 He put it in his mouth and made a disgusting face lol
He doesn't yet recognize animals, but when I praise him for taking things out and putting them back in the hole and tidying up, he happily repeats it over and over again. Soon he'll start pushing the box and crawling... Soon he'll be able to understand his favorite 🐶🐘 shape 🎵

Mr. O, Tokyo [2020] [A chest that can hold a lot of clothes] I bought this for my 3-year-old child. When I opened the package, the nice scent of hinoki spread through the room and made me feel refreshed. My child also liked the nice smell.
The height is easy for my son, who will soon be 1m tall, to use, and the drawers are smooth and easy to open and close, so he has no problem choosing and taking out clothes by himself every day. The storage space at the top is convenient, and I put things that I use often or want to prepare quickly there. I was able to hang commercially available hooks on the side, so I also had a place to put my backpack when we went out. I wish the drawers other than the bottom one were a little taller so that he could use it even after he grows up, but the construction is careful and the wood grain is beautiful, so I would consider buying one for my younger child as well.

Made to order sizeI had it made for my three sisters who are all close in age, and the size was perfect, so the children were thrilled to have their own shelves! The shelves are also adjustable, with three levels, so my older sister, who is in elementary school, can store all of her belongings there.

I am so happy that my child is now practicing at home the tidying up techniques he learned at nursery school.
The "Hanging Chair" can be used in so many ways that it's truly surprising! Sometimes it can be used as a table for playing house, sometimes for dolls to sit on, sometimes for my daughter to sit on and eat a banana, and sometimes for my husband to have a drink in the evening. I'm currently pregnant and it's just the right height for playing with my daughter, so it puts less strain on my stomach than sitting directly on it, and it's very useful. Wood is so mysterious. Just touching it makes me feel really warm, and it has helped me to raise my child calmly. I'm so glad I found Nakayoshi Library. -

I had seen the actual product at the Hamamatsucho exhibition, and as expected, it is very beautiful and easy to use, so I look at it with joy every day. My son also seems very happy with his own desk, and he is sitting at it and working hard on his unfamiliar homework that he recently started. [Locomotive Markt]I ride the train when I wake up in the morning, when I come home from nursery school, and after I take a bath and until I go to bed - I'm on the train all day long.
I drive it every day, so I've gotten much better at driving. I was worried that it would scratch the flooring, but there were no issues at all, it's been polished all over to make it round and gentle. You can really feel the craftsman's passion. I used the "Baby Set" a lot when I had a baby. I'm so grateful that they continue to provide such great products.

Mr. N, Osaka Prefecture [2018] Custom-made baby bed The bed arrived yesterday evening. It was quite heavy and had been carefully packed, so it took a little time to assemble, but the easy-to-understand instructions made it easy to assemble.
We installed it. We were impressed by the smooth, gentle, and warm texture that clings to your hands, and the solid, sturdy construction. My wife and I are happy that if we take good care of it, it will last for over 100 years, even our great-grandchildren. The baby bed we've been using until now looks like a toy. If you have any tips on daily maintenance, storage, or anything else you should be careful about, we would appreciate it. We are truly grateful for building such a wonderful baby bed. Because it is 135 cm tall, it was difficult to find anything commercially available, but in the end I was glad that I was able to ask Nakayoshi. In the same room, there is also a shelf for picture books and toys and a round table. My daughter uses them and they have become too much of a living space, so I have attached photos of the movable shelf and TV stand.

[Picture book and toy shelves]My son used the picture book and toy shelf before the family bookshelf. Now, the picture book and toy shelf is used as the family shelf. It's finally tidy ^ - ^ After 10 years, the shelf has turned a nice amber color.
The snack packaging is exposed (^_^;), but I thought it would be nice to show how we use it in our home, so I took the photo without trying to dress it up (lol).
