Materials are natural

We are also aiming to eliminate plastic from packaging materials.

We try to avoid using plastic products such as air caps (bubble wrap) as packaging materials as much as possible, and try to deliver products in a state as close to natural as possible. Considering the time and effort required to dispose of packaging materials at customers' homes and the large amount of waste involved, it is better to be kind to the earth. We ask for your understanding in using simple packaging. (We take great care to avoid scratches when packaging.)

Zero waste in the manufacturing process

A system that returns everything to the soil

Instead of discarding the wood shavings (sawdust), local businesses such as ranches, zoos, and riding clubs pick them up. The cypress scent has an effective deodorizing effect in animal toilets, and the sawdust is then returned to the fields as fertilizer, creating a cycle. Of course, even if it is spread directly in the fields, it has the effect of killing weeds and keeping the soil soft. The scraps are chipped at a special factory, and are recycled into chips for weeding roadside trees in town. In addition, the sawdust is used as cushioning material for some products (photo), allowing customers to enjoy a one-day cypress bath experience.

Local production and consumption

Source materials as close as possible

As Japan aims to become carbon neutral, reducing logistics costs will lead to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We believe that consuming local timber locally or manufacturing products domestically is a very eco-friendly initiative. As all of our products are made domestically, maintaining this practice will also contribute to the preservation of the mountains and the domestic timber supply-demand ratio.

Natural Energy

Combined with drying in sunlight

Natural drying dries wood using only natural forces. It takes more time and effort than artificial drying, but it allows the wood to maintain a moderate moisture content (amount of water contained in the wood). Natural drying allows the wood to remain moderately moist when it is made into a product, which enhances the luster when oiled. Because these are products that children will use, we are particular about the feel of the wood. By using both natural and artificial drying, we are also keeping an eye on renewable energy.
